A Guardianship is a legal process wherein an individual or agency is appointed by the Superior Court and given the power and responsibility to make medical and personal decisions for another person. A Guardianship may also manage smaller financial assets. The Court determines if a person is incapacitated physically and/or mentally and in need of a Guardian.
A Conservatorship is a legal process wherein an individual or agency is appointed by the Superior Court and given the power and responsibility to make financial decisions for another person. The Court determines if a person is incapacitated physically and/or mentally and in need of a Conservator.
There a many different types of Trusts, and they range in complexity and the laws that govern them. As Trustee we work closely with the Court and an attorney to ensure they are administered in accordance with these laws. We also work with Social Security Administration, Department of Social and Health Services, and other agencies to stay in compliance with their rules pertaining to trusts.
